POSITION
Junior Visual Designer & Studio Assistant
Role overview
The Junior Visual Designer & Studio Assistant supports graphic design, visual production, and studio projects. This role is ideal for an emerging designer or artist who is interested in branding, event design, and large-scale creative work such as murals.
Responsibilities
Design graphics using Canva.
Assist with Adobe Illustrator projects and file preparation.
Support design work for branding, signage, events, and print materials.
Assist with mural projects and visual installations.
Help create mockups, layouts, and visual assets.
Support studio organization and creative workflows.
Ideal candidate
Interested in graphic design, illustration, or visual art.
Curious about branding systems and design strategy.
Comfortable learning new tools and creative processes.
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
Interested in working with community organizations and small businesses.
Skills and experience
Canva experience required.
Interest in learning Adobe Illustrator (training provided).
Basic understanding of visual design principles.
English or Spanish fluency required; bilingual applicants are encouraged.
Portfolio or work samples
Applicants should submit a portfolio or two to three design or art-based passion projects.
